Who can register to vote

In order to register to vote, you must meet these qualifications:

  • You must be a United States citizen
  • You must be at least 18 years old on or before the next election (OR for a General Primary, must be 17 and will be 18 by the General Election)
  • You must live in your election precinct at least 30 days before the next election
  • You must not currently be convicted and serving a sentence
  • You cannot claim the right to vote anywhere else

When can register to vote

Online registration is available through 15th day prior to Election Day  (get it done by October 16th to be safe).  You will save a ton of time by registering online rather than going to an Early Voting or Election Day polling site to do it. You can, however, register to vote and then vote at any Early Voting location starting October 19th or at your local designated November 3rd Election Day polling location.
